"Batman saves Gotham, Superman saves Metropolis, but no one ever wants to save a girl. Unless it's the girlfriend, right? Unless you're Mary Jane or Lois Lane. Otherwise, who saves girls? And the answer is nobody - not in media and not in real life, which is unfortunate. And so my characters, they're different in that aspect," explained Phoenix.
“But we’ve seen those stories. We’ve never seen the female story. We’ve never seen the Latina story. We haven’t seen our version of it.”

“Everyone needs a superhero, but if you’re a woman or a person of color, chances are you won’t find yourself reflected on the big screen, much less a comic book.”
Additional:

Additional:
"Quería hacer historias de las que estemos orgullosos", dice Kayden Phoenix. Sus personajes batallan contra la violencia doméstica, las enfermedades mentales, feminicidios y abusos a los inmigrantes, conflictos propios de la comunidad latina en EE.UU.
