PHOENIX STUDIOS
Hey there! We’re Phoenix Studios, and we’re all about celebrating diversity and empowerment through the art of storytelling. Our founder, Kayden Phoenix, is a proud lesbian Chicana writer and director hailing from Boyle Heights, California. When Kayden stepped into the film industry, she quickly saw how underrepresented and generalized characters were. This lit a fire in her to advocate for diversity both on-screen and behind the camera.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: to instill a superhero mindset in every marginalized individual, no matter their age, demographic, or socio-economic background. We believe that everyone has a story worth telling, and we’re here to make sure those stories shine.
Fueled by her passion for equality, Kayden expanded her creative vision into the comic book world, founding Phoenix Studios. Our flagship series, "A La Brava," features the first Latina superhero team in comic book history, while "Princess Academia" showcases incredible Native and Latina princesses. These comics aren't just stories; they're celebrations of culture and identity.
Kayden’s mantra is, “A big part of my life’s purpose is to give voice to stories as multifaceted, atypical, and diverse as the people we find in the real world.” At Phoenix Studios, every narrative we craft is rich, authentic, and truly representative of our diverse world.
We’re not just a production company; we’re a movement. Kayden's commitment to diversity and representation isn’t limited to our projects. She’s actively working to level the playing field for underrepresented communities through our unique and engaging stories, opening doors for future generations of storytellers.
We’d love for you to join our journey! Phoenix Studios is a community that values diversity, representation, and the transformative power of storytelling. Together, we can create a world where everyone sees themselves as a hero.Phoenix Studios is here to make sure everyone’s voice is heard and every story is told. Let’s celebrate the superheroes within us all!
